California Department of Boating and Waterways
The mission of DBW is to provide safe and convenient public access to California's waterways and leadership in promoting the public's right to safe, enjoyable and environmentally sound recreational boating. As part of its mission, DBW manages the Aquatic Center Grant Program to enhance boaters’ knowledge of boating laws, practical handling of vessels on the water, weather and water conditions, rules of the road, equipment requirements and environmental stewardship.
The mission of the NorCal AIDS Cycle is to support the organizations throughout Northern California, with an emphasis on the Greater Sacramento Valley, that are working to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic and care for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in our region.
The Bay Area Physicians for Human Rights is the world's first organization of gay physicians. They are dedicated to improving health care in our community and nurturing the careers of LGBTQ medical professionals.
Their members are a diverse group of physicians, dentists and allied healthcare specialists in different stages of their career. They work at academic institutions, in small group practices as well as in larger managed care organizations.
BAPHR was founded in 1977 and registered as a 503(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 1979.
The mission of the California Coastal Commission is to protect and enhance California's coast and ocean for present and future generations. It does so through careful planning and regulation of environmentally-sustainable development, rigorous use of science, strong public participation, education, and effective intergovernmental coordination. The WHALE TAIL® Grants fund projects that connect people to the California Coast and its watersheds through education, stewardship, and outdoor experiences. Grant projects can engage people of all ages and can take place anywhere in California.
