 HEALING WATERS WILDERNESS ADVENTURES

RAFT GUIDE TRAINING  - Spring 2018

Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures is a non-profit organization that offers outdoor trips specifically for people with HIV and AIDS.  Working with qualified volunteers, we strive to provide an emotionally and physically safe environment in the outdoors for individuals to take a moment to celebrate living, develop a community, and help them challenge their own beliefs about their strengths and abilities.

Healing Waters will train you to be a volunteer whitewater raft guide on the South Fork American River!  In return, we ask that you volunteer a few weekends of your summer to take our clientele down river.  Whether you are an adrenaline junky or just love outdoor service work this will be an amazing and rewarding endeavor.

Cost of guide training is $425 and covers classroom materials, five on-river weekend trainings, and meals.
Swift Water Rescue is a separate cost of $250 and conducted by Sierra Rescue.

(Partial scholarships are typically available for these courses)
